On Monday, year 5 had a brilliant day at the Royal Observatory in London. We had the chance to explore the North Site, where we were able to find out more about lots of different telescopes and clocks. We were particuluarly fascinated by the old telephones! After these we had two workshops – one about the creation of the solar system and the other the phases of the moon. However, the highlight of the day was definately the show in the planetarium – it was amazing to be able to see into our night sky and explore some of the planets in our solar system.
