Year 2 had an amazing day experiencing life in Victorian times. We learnt what is was like to work in the house of a Victorian Lord and Lady. We polished the silver, washed, dried and ironed the laundry, cleaned the shoes, laid the table, beat the carpets, swept the floors, did the cooking and even put the children to bed.
In the afternoon we divided into groups to practise some performances. There was a play, some acrobats, singing, comedians, strong men and amazing mind readers. At the end of the day we all took part in a Victorian Music Hall.
I think we all agreed – it was a day we will never forget!
