Year 4 government times tables check.
This check is taken by every student in year 4 in the UK. They are tested on ALL of their tables up to 12×12. The children will need to recall the answers within 6 seconds. We have been working hard on times tables since September. Every day we set a timer and try to answer 60 questions in 5 minutes. Some children can do this easily because they have memorised them, but quite a few are still unable to recall their times tables no matter how hard we try in school. What we would like is some support from you at home. The children that are doing well at this have spent time practicing and this is what your child needs to do. If in doubt, ask your teacher what times tables they are struggling with.
